Williams Racing has announced an exciting multi-year partnership with Zoox, the autonomous ride-hailing company. As part of the deal, Zoox’s logo will be prominently displayed on Williams F1 cars during races in the United States, beginning with this month’s highly anticipated Las Vegas Grand Prix.
Zoox, an innovative subsidiary of Amazon, is revolutionizing the future of transportation with its purpose-built, fully autonomous robotaxi. Throughout race week in Las Vegas, the Zoox vehicle will be featured in Williams’ Fan Zone at the New York-New York Hotel, offering fans a closer look at the cutting-edge technology behind the autonomous ride.
The collaboration will extend to major US events in 2025 and beyond, including races in Las Vegas, Austin, and Miami — three cities where Zoox is actively testing its autonomous driving technology. The company plans to debut its robotaxi service to the public in Las Vegas in 2025, marking a major milestone in its journey to redefine personal mobility.
This unique partnership between an autonomous technology company and a Formula 1 team is a first of its kind. It brings together two industries known for their pioneering innovations, showcasing the convergence of advanced technology in both motorsport and mobility. Williams Racing Team Principal James Vowles expressed his excitement, stating, “We’re thrilled to be part of bringing the future of mobility to Formula 1 and are proud to welcome Zoox as the first autonomous vehicle company to partner with the sport.”
Carly Wyatt, Zoox’s Head of Communications and Marketing, also shared her enthusiasm for the collaboration: “This partnership represents an exciting opportunity to highlight the parallels between the cutting-edge technologies driving both the world of motorsports and the future of transportation. With advancements in AI and automation, we’re shaping the future of how we move, both on the track and on the road.”
Together, Williams Racing and Zoox are charting a bold course toward the future of both motorsport and autonomous transportation, with the Las Vegas Grand Prix marking the start of a new era in innovation.
