Autel, a prominent manufacturer of automotive diagnostic tools, has unveiled its latest innovation in ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) calibration with the introduction of the MaxiSys IA700 ADAS calibration frame system. This state-of-the-art system is designed to meet the growing demands of modern service environments, offering a versatile and modular solution that stands out for its compact design and advanced features. The IA700 system is engineered to be a perfect fit for a variety of service settings, including glass repair, mechanical shops, collision repair centers, and even mobile technicians who require a portable yet robust calibration tool.
The MaxiSys IA700 boasts several key features that set it apart from its predecessors. One of its most notable components is the robotic crossbar, which is outfitted with six high-definition tracking cameras. These cameras play a critical role in ensuring precise target positioning, even compensating for uneven flooring, a common challenge in many service environments. This feature ensures that technicians can achieve accurate calibrations regardless of the conditions of the workspace.
Moreover, the IA700 is designed with mobility in mind. The frame can be easily disassembled, making it convenient to transport or store, which is particularly beneficial for mobile technicians or service centers with limited space.
Stewart Peregrine, a senior executive of ADAS sales at Autel, highlighted the innovative aspects of the IA700, stating, “With the IA700, we’ve integrated the best features from our previous systems. We’ve combined the compact and mobile nature of the MA600, the precision of wheel alignment pre-checks and optical positioning from the IA800, and the unlevel floor compensation and comprehensive vehicle repair capabilities of the IA900. The result is a new benchmark in the industry.”
The IA700 also incorporates an alignment pre-check feature that utilizes embedded cameras and targeted wheel clamps. This allows technicians to assess a vehicle’s current alignment against the manufacturer’s specifications, ensuring that any necessary adjustments are made before proceeding with ADAS calibration.
Another significant advancement is the system’s optical positioning technology, which uses cameras and sophisticated software to align calibration targets to the vehicle with exceptional accuracy. This feature is designed to minimize setup time and reduce the likelihood of measurement errors, streamlining the calibration process.

Customers also have the option to include or exclude the MaxiSys 909 diagnostics and ADAS calibration software, providing flexibility depending on their specific requirements.
The system’s guided ADAS application further enhances its value by supporting the calibration of newly released vehicle models, even those not yet covered by Autel software. This feature includes step-by-step instructions and the option to use OEM tools and subscriptions via the Autel Remote Expert platform, making the IA700 a future-proof investment for service centers looking to stay ahead in the rapidly evolving automotive industry.
