ECARX, a global mobility technology provider, has unveiled an innovative series of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS)-enabled products, debuting with the ECARX Skyland Pro. This groundbreaking solutions line is designed to support drivers as vehicle autonomy continues to evolve. The ECARX ADAS platform, with its dual System-on-Chip (SoC) architecture, promises exceptional performance and is fortified by an advanced safety system.
At the heart of the ECARX Skyland Pro lies the deployment of two Black Sesame Huashan-2 A1000 automotive-grade SoCs, providing an impressive computing power of 116 tera operations per second (TOPS) at 8-bit integer (INT8). This high-performance capability empowers the ECARX Skyland Pro to facilitate L2+ advanced driving and parking functionalities. The inclusion of industry-leading bird’s-eye view (BEV) perception algorithms and a 5R10V sensor configuration further enhances its capabilities.
One standout feature of the ECARX Skyland Pro is its adaptability through continuous over-the-air updates. This enables the platform to evolve and introduce scenario-based solutions, such as urban navigate-on-autopilot (NoA) capability and home-zone park assist (HPA). The platform’s flexibility and adaptability align with the dynamic nature of the automotive industry’s technological landscape.
The ADAS features of the Skyland Pro include automatic emergency braking (AEB), lane-keeping assist (LKA), lane departure warning (LDW), blind spot detection (BSD), and electronic stability control (ESC). Impressively, all these features have achieved high scores in the China-New Car Assessment Program (C-NCAP) preliminary testing, attesting to the platform’s commitment to adhering to stringent safety standards.
Recognizing the importance of testing and validation in the development of ADAS solutions, ECARX emphasizes a comprehensive approach. The company provides end-to-end testing, employing a robust methodology and toolchain. This approach aims to empower partners to streamline the research and development cycle while minimizing risks and ensuring the reliability of ECARX’s ADAS solutions.
The launch of the ECARX Skyland Pro is just the beginning, with the imminent introduction of the ECARX Skyland set to follow. This upcoming model is a single SoC solution designed to meet a broader spectrum of Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) needs. Tailored specifically for L2+ ADAS scenarios, the ECARX Skyland aims to seamlessly integrate driving and parking functionalities, showcasing the company’s commitment to providing versatile solutions to automotive manufacturers.
In tandem with these product launches, ECARX has initiated mass production of both the ECARX Skyland Pro and the ECARX Antora 1000 Pro computing platforms. This aligns with ECARX’s overarching commitment to delivering a comprehensive suite of automotive intelligence solutions, combining outstanding performance with maximum security. As the automotive industry continues its trajectory towards increased autonomy, ECARX positions itself as a key player in providing cutting-edge technology solutions.
